Hatching Egg Policy
Hatching eggs are a bit of a gamble by nature. We do our part here on the farm by caring for our breeding flocks, collecting eggs regularly, and handling them carefully before they ever leave our hands. That said, we can’t guarantee hatch rates once eggs head off the farm.
Our Flocks & Fertility
• Eggs come from active breeding pens with healthy, well-managed birds.
• We choose our breeding stock for good temperament, strong health, and productivity.
• Fertility is checked frequently and thoroughly
Egg Age & Care Before Sale
• Shipped eggs are no more than 3 days old when they ship.
• Local pickup eggs are no more than 6 days old at pickup.
• Eggs are stored properly here on the farm until they’re packed or picked up.
Once Eggs Leave the Farm
• After eggs leave our hands we no longer have control over how they’re handled.
• Shipping speeds can vary, and delays do happen due to weather, holidays, or carrier issues.
• Temperature swings, rough handling, and longer transit times can all affect hatch rates.
• Because of this, shipped eggs are purchased at the buyer’s risk.
Egg Packaging
• All hatching eggs are carefully hand packed prior to shipment.
• Eggs are cushioned and secured in foam to limit movement during transit.
• Shipments are double boxed with foam padding and crinkle paper for added protection.
• Despite careful packing, shipping eggs always carries risk due to handling and transit conditions beyond our control.
AirTag Notice
• All hatching eggs include an Apple AirTag to help monitor transit for time-sensitive packages.
• Fragile shipments are often hand-scanned or not scanned at all, so the AirTag may provide better insight into package movement and estimated arrival.
• AirTag location data is approximate and does not guarantee delivery time or condition.
• A prepaid return envelope is included; AirTags must be returned to the designated shipper within 4 days of delivery.
• A $15 fee will be charged for AirTags not returned on time.
About Hatch Rates
Every hatch is different. Results depend on things like:
• Your incubator and how it’s set up
• How long the eggs are in transit
• How eggs are stored after arrival
• Incubation methods and experience
For these reasons, hatch rates are not guaranteed.
Refunds & Replacements
• We do not offer refunds or replacements for poor hatch rates.
• Shipping costs are non-refundable.
The Fine Print (Plain and Simple)
By purchasing hatching eggs from our farm, you understand that:
• Shipping and incubation come with risks.
• Once eggs leave the farm, those risks are out of our control.
• You accept responsibility for the incubation process and results.
