About Us
Welcome to Double Diamond Farms
At Double Diamond Farms, we are a family-run operation dedicated to raising poultry and cattle with care, intention, and respect for the land. We focus on pasture-raised, sustainable husbandry practices that prioritize animal well-being and thoughtful stewardship, believing that healthy animals and healthy land go hand in hand. What we do is rooted in hard work, tradition, and a genuine love for farm life.
Our Story
Double Diamond Farms is more than just where we raise animals; it’s home. Our farm was started by our grandparents, who built a self-sufficient way of life by raising and supporting their growing family with a bountiful garden, dairy cows, beef cattle, pigs, and chickens. What they built with hard work, resourcefulness, and care for the land laid the foundation for everything we do today.
Horses have always had a place here. Our grandpa grew up behind plow horses and witnessed the shift as they slowly faded from the fields and were replaced by iron and engines. That transition left him with a soft spot for horses, and because of that, they never truly left the farm. They remain a living connection to the way things once were and a reminder of the partnership between people, animals, and land.
We are the third generation to steward this farm and are now raising the fourth generation here alongside us. Cows were brought back to the farm in 2017, reconnecting us to the livestock traditions that shaped this land. In 2019, we added chickens, continuing the mixed-farm roots that have always been part of this place. Today, our chickens and cattle are raised on pasture whenever possible, guided by sustainable husbandry practices that prioritize animal well-being and thoughtful land stewardship. We don’t chase trends; we lean on what works, what’s proven, and what respects the animals and the ground beneath our feet.
This farm carries the echoes of generations before us. Early mornings, full hands, and lessons learned the hard way still linger in the barns and fields. Now, as children grow up in the same spaces, we’re reminded daily that we’re not just raising animals here, but preserving a way of life. It’s a legacy built slowly, cared for intentionally, and passed on with gratitude for where we came from and hope for what’s still to come.
