Chick Policy

We put a lot of care into raising healthy, strong chicks and preparing them properly for pickup or shipment. That said, chicks are live animals, and once they leave the farm, there are factors beyond our control.

Health & Care Before Pickup or Shipping

• All chicks are hatched and raised in a clean, monitored environment.
• Chicks are observed daily and leave the farm healthy, active, and well started.
• Orders are filled as accurately as possible, and we select the strongest chicks available at the time of shipment or pickup.

Sexing & Characteristics

• DNA Sexed Chicks are guaranteed
• Pullet to cockerel ratio is not guaranteed on straight run chicks
• Feather color, pattern, and other traits may vary.
• Minor cosmetic differences are normal and do not affect overall health.

Local Pickup

• Once chicks are picked up, their care, transport, and wellbeing become the buyer’s responsibility.
• We are not responsible for losses related to transport, temperature changes, or handling after pickup.

Shipping

• Chicks are shipped with appropriate food, heat, and ventilation following carrier guidelines.
• Shipping times may vary due to weather, holidays, or carrier delays.
• Once chicks are handed off to the carrier, we have no control over handling, temperature, or transit time.
• There is no live arrival guarantee on shipped chicks. Shipped chicks are purchased at the buyer’s risk.

AirTag Notice

 • All chicks include an Apple AirTag to help monitor transit for time-sensitive packages.
• Fragile shipments are often hand-scanned or not scanned at all, so the AirTag may provide better insight into package movement and estimated arrival.
• AirTag location data is approximate and does not guarantee delivery time or condition.
• A prepaid return envelope is included; AirTags must be returned to the designated shipper within 4 days of delivery.
• A $15 fee will be charged for AirTags not returned on time.

Refunds & Replacements

 • We do not offer refunds or replacements for losses after pickup or shipment.
 • We are not responsible for losses due to shipping delays, weather, brooder setup, or husbandry practices.
• Any resolution offered is at our sole discretion.

 Buyer Responsibility

By purchasing chicks from our farm, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that:
• They have proper brooder equipment set up and ready before chicks arrive.
• They understand the risks involved in shipping and raising live animals.
• They accept full responsibility for chick care once the chicks leave our farm.
